PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, in Anthropology and Classical Archaeology from the University of Alberta in 2004 and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Calgary in 2009. During law school, she worked as a clerk at the Calgary Court of Queen’s Bench and volunteered with Student Legal Assistance at the Calgary Drop-in Centre providing legal advice to low income individuals. In her final year of law school, she participated in the Provincial Court Clerkship Program as part of her studies.
Laura has a passion for world travel with previous travels including Peru, Turkey, India, Guatemala in addition to many European countries.
Laura joined Scott Venturo LLP as an articling student in the summer of 2009 and continues to practice with the firm as an associate. She has a particular interest in litigation and family law.
