PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Ashley Reid received her Bachelor of Arts in Canadian Studies from McGill University in 2005 and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 2008. Upon graduation from law school, Ashley moved to Calgary and articled with a national firm. She joined Scott Venturo LLP in 2009 as an associate.
During her Undergraduate Degree, Ashley was involved with the Canadian Foundation for Research (CANFAR) focusing on HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness. In law school, she was a member of the Law Students’ Association, volunteered with Student Legal Services and sat on the Student Appeals Committee. In the summer of 2006 and 2007, Ashley worked at Legal Aid Alberta as a Legal Aid Officer, interviewing clients and handling their files. During her third year in law school Ashley also worked with the Alberta Law Line, providing legal information to clients.
Ashley maintains a general civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on insurance defence.
